Our ten-week courses have been designed by health care professionals to address some of the biggest challenges young people face including identity crises, self-harm, and eating disorders. A combination of group sessions and one-to-one mentoring sessions provides a safe and supportive environment to learn, speak openly, ask questions, and receive practical tools and guidance.
CREATE is an online program that uses creative and artistic techniques to help every young person learn and implement key social-emotional skills. The lessons, taught by professional artists, help students successfully process and navigate difficult periods of transition.
Pure Creative Arts & Social-Emotional Learning
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) experts at CASEL (The Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning) say students’ social and emotional health benefits greatly when they “reflect on and document…what they’ve learned about themselves during the pandemic, either through journal writing, artwork, music, or other creative outlets.”
CREATE is available via the Pure Creative Arts App. If you or a group of students you know would like to participate in CREATE please email us at [email protected] and we can set up a private group for you.
Tackle issues of disordered eating and self-harming behavior through creative therapy sessions and peer mentorship in this ten-week course.
The group provides a safe space to begin to address both the roots and triggers of self-harming behavior and to identify each participant’s hopes for the future.
